Laboratory Categorization: Introduction, Types and Related Tests

Laboratory Categorization-Introduction, Types and Related Tests

 Introduction of Laboratory Categorization

Here we are talking about medical laboratory and laboratory categorization depends on tests doing inside it. No doubt,  if there is a large number of tests, manpower ( staffs) and infrastructures required according to that.

Types of Laboratory Categorization

Laboratory categorization fully depends on a load of laboratory tests and it is of the following types of groups-

  1. Group A Medical Laboratory
  2. Group B Medical Laboratory
  3. Group C Medical Laboratory
  4. Group D Medical Laboratory
  5. Group E Medical Laboratory

Related tests according to Laboratory Categorization

Key Notes

  1. In group A level laboratory, there might be extra tests than group B in superspecialization tests.
  2. Laboratory categorization has just been taken from a developing country that may vary from country to country.
